Prithviraj Sukumaran, a renowned Malayalam actor, recently disclosed the reason behind Declining Chiranjeevi’s Offers be a part of Chiranjeevi’s magnum opus, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. In a candid revelation during the Telugu promotions of his film, The Goat Life, Prithviraj shared some intriguing insights.
“In 2017 or 2018, Chiranjeevi sir approached me through Mani Rathnam sir’s wife, Suhasini Mam, offering a role in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy,” Prithviraj reminisced. “I was deeply honored by Chiru sir’s consideration for a significant role in his project. It felt like a tremendous validation of my work.”
After Declining Chiranjeevi’s Offers expressing his regret, Prithviraj explained, “Despite my eagerness, I had to decline the offer due to my commitment to The Goat Life. As I immersed myself in preparing for my role in the film, I realized I couldn’t juggle multiple projects effectively.”
Prithviraj’s journey took an unexpected turn when he ventured into directing and delivered a successful film. “Chiranjeevi sir acquired the Telugu rights of my directorial debut, Lucifer,” he revealed. “During the Kerala event of Sye Raa, I was invited as the chief guest. Chiru sir’s team proposed the idea of me directing Lucifer in Telugu. Although I was tempted, I had to decline once again due to my ongoing commitment to The Goat Life.”
Reflecting on his interactions with Chiranjeevi, Prithviraj expressed admiration for the megastar’s warmth. “Chiru sir and even Ram Charan occasionally exchange messages with me,” he shared. “Their kindness gives me hope that someday, I’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with them.”
Prithviraj’s journey serves as a testament to the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry and the importance of making tough decisions in pursuit of one’s artistic endeavors. While he may have missed out on the opportunity to work with Chiranjeevi on Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Prithviraj’s unwavering dedication to his current projects showcases his commitment to delivering quality performances and meaningful storytelling to audiences worldwide.
