Homestay: Some of the villages around Kedarnath offer homestays where the local people can give you a warm welcome as well as experience their culture during your stay at their place.
- Dharamshalas: Dharamshalas also exist in the vicinity of some temples or other religious institutions where pilgrims can find cheap accommodation; They mostly only provide very basic services, if available.
NOTE – Accommodation options may be limited, especially during the peak pilgrimage season (April to November), and advance booking is recommended whenever possible.
